FanDuel Group has expanded the duties of its current Chief Compliance Officer, Carolyn Renzin, making her the operator’s new Chief Legal Officer.

As the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Renzin will lead a team and oversee legal, risk, regulatory engagement, compliance, and responsible gaming for FanDuel.

Before taking on the role of Chief Legal Officer, Renzin served as the operator’s Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.

“Carolyn is a passionate, bright, empathetic, and extremely hard-working leader and colleague,” commented Christian Genetski, President of FanDuel Group.

“In her time at FanDuel, she has led transformative change for our business in building out a regulatory and compliance function befitting the current and future scale of our company and I’m confident she is the right choice to lead our high-performing legal team going forward.”

Before joining FanDuel, Renzin served as an Assistant General Counsel at JP Morgan Chase & Co (JPMC), working as a regulatory litigator after the financial crisis and in the Office of the General Counsel building out the bank’s legal function.

She joined JPMC from Guidepost Solutions, a compliance consulting and investigations firm, where she worked with firms under regulatory scrutiny to enhance their compliance functions.

Back in July, FanDuel promoted Genetski into the role of President, while also appointing Mike Raffensperger into the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer.
