PointsBet Pennsylvania, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PointsBet Holdings Limited, has received authorization from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) to launch its online casino product in the state.

Beginning with a soft launch before a full operations launch, PointsBet’s online casino presence in the Keystone State follows its sports betting product going live in the region earlier this year in February.

Manjit Gombra Singh, PointsBet President of Product and Technology, commented: “It is an exciting time for the online casino market, and we’re proud to be able to tap into this momentum and introduce our proprietary product in Pennsylvania.

“We’re quickly scaling our online casino business and looking forward to expanding and refining our suite of products throughout the year to deliver more options for our users in PointsBet online casinos.”

Pennsylvania is the fifth North American region where PointsBet’s proprietary igaming platform is operational following successful launches in Michigan, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Ontario, Canada.

Earlier this week, PointsBet Canada sealed a multi-year sports betting agreement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, becoming an official sports betting partner of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argonauts, and Toronto FC.
