BetMGM marks ‘momentous’ Ontario entrance

BetMGM has lauded the ‘momentous occasion’ marked by its entry into the newly regulated igaming and online sports betting market in Ontario.

Signifying the first non-US jurisdiction that it is operating in, BetMGM is offering its Sportsbook app, giving sports fans in Ontario the opportunity to customize pre-game, live in-play, futures and parlay wagers.

To celebrate the Ontario launch, the Entain-owned operator has partnered with Canadian athletes aiding to reach new users. It has partnered with Hockey Hall of Fame member Wayne Gretzky and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid, who will both appear in upcoming marketing campaigns in the most populous Canadian province.

“Today marks a significant milestone for BetMGM and a momentous occasion for sports fans and online players in Ontario,” said BetMGM CEO, Adam Greenblatt. “We’re confident that customers in Canada will enjoy the unique, interactive and world-class experience that only BetMGM can provide.”

Ensuring that players in Ontario maintain safety from gambling-related harms, BetMGM has signed up to distribute tools from GameSense, a British Colombia Lottery Corporation-licensed program.
