The Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos (IPLyC) of Buenos Aires has granted Argentine operator Boldt SA an extension for the operation of six of its Buenos Aires casinos.

The casinos that have been given an extension include Casino de Tandil, Casino de Miramar, Casino Annex III of Mar del Plata (in Hotel Hermitage), Mar de Ajó, Casino Annex I of Mar del Plata (in Hotel Sasso), and Casino de Sierra de la Ventana.

Previously operating under another permit that was issued in 2019, the Boldt casinos now hold a permit valid until either December 31, 2022, or until a bidding process is carried out to define the future of the rooms.

Additionally, lauded as one of the local operators with the “greatest presence” in the region’s gaming and betting market, the company has also moved into the online sector with the licensing of its bplay site, marking a period of “great expansion” in Argentina.

With the business unit having already become the main sponsor of the Club Estudiantes de La Plata in early July, this saw a one-year agreement that placed it on the professional team’s jersey.

Likewise, bplay has also been presented as the new main sponsor of Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield for one year, seeing the company’s brand appear on the front of the club’s shirt.
