The American Gaming Association (AGA) has announced that the United States Football League (USFL) has joined its Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly. public service campaign ahead of its inaugural season.

Through its broadcast, cable, streaming, and social media outlets, the USFL will promote the AGA’s Have A Game message of responsible sports wagering.

Edward Hartman, USFL Executive Vice President of Business Operations, commented: “We’re proud to partner with the AGA to help drive the important message to bet responsibly. As sports wagering expands nationwide, the USFL is committed to help educate our fans so they can better enjoy the experience.”

The Have A Game Plan campaign was launched in 2019 and teaches bettors the four principles of responsible gaming: setting a budget and sticking to it, keeping betting social, knowing the odds, and playing with trusted, regulated operators.

“Responsible gaming leadership from professional sports leagues like the USFL is critical to getting sports betting right,” added AGA Senior Vice President, Casey Clark.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the USFL as a partner and value their commitment to prioritizing responsible sports wagering education for their fans.”

Have A Game Plan is supported by many across the US sports betting landscape, including sports leagues and teams, media companies, gaming operators, suppliers, and others. Most recently, hospitality and entertainment firm Delaware North joined the responsible gaming campaign.

The USFL’s inaugural game takes place on April 16 at Birmingham’s Protective Stadium between the New Jersey Generals and the Birmingham Stallions.
