FanDuel has reported that this year’s Super Bowl has delivered in more ways than one for its customers after several betting markets provided big returns.

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI with Odell Beckham Jr scoring the game’s first touchdown.

FanDuel has stated that Beckham was the top selection in the first touchdown scorer market, paying out nearly $4m in straight bets to its sportsbook customers.

Despite Beckham’s first-half injury, he did enough to deliver another $1.4m to customers as part of a promotional odds boost (boosted from +155 to +220) that required him to register 50+ receiving yards and a Rams win. Customers also scored on touchdowns by Beckham and Cooper Kupp in straight bets and parlays.

Bettors that were new to the FanDuel Sportsbook also had a great night with the Rams comeback, as $38m was paid out to new customers as part of the sportsbook’s 56-1 offer.

Although the Rams won the game, they weren’t able to cover the 4.5 point spread. As a result, Bengals bettors won more than $17m on the spread market in pre-match betting.

FanDuel’s free-to-play Super Bowl Bingo game was also successful, with more than 400,000 customers.

The sportsbook has already looked ahead to next year’s Big Game. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills are early favorites to win the 2023 Super Bowl, both standing at +700.
