MediaTroopers, a marketing agency specializing in promoting legal online gambling in the US, has entered the New York market, bringing its online sports betting expertise to the newly regulated state during its opening weekend.

With sportsbooks partnerships across the US, MediaTroopers will promote its partners in the Empire State, providing new audiences with marketing and content.

The New York State Gaming Commission confirmed that the first four out of nine licensed operators – Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel, and Rush Street Interactive – were approved to begin processing mobile sports betting in the state from January 8.

MediaTroopers CEO Shmulik Segal commented: “MediaTroopers has been operating in nearly every US state where online gambling is legal, including New York’s neighbouring states such as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and others.

“So, adding New York to our portfolio is an exciting milestone that allows us to provide services to new audiences on the East Coast.”

When asked about the Empire State’s potential future, Segal added: “There are five more sportsbooks with provisional licenses from the NYSGC. These sportsbooks are working towards meeting the licensing requirements, and when this happens, the New York sports betting market could grow exponentially.”

New York is the fourth most populous state in the US, and many experts believe it will become one of the biggest online sports betting states in the country.

When asked about his expectations for this season, Segal said: “MediaTroopers has seen launches of many states, but what’s the most amazing thing about this launch is the timing, right ahead of the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl.

“So, although we won’t know specific numbers for a few weeks, we are confident that the launch in NY will be one of the biggest we’ve seen.”
