OpenBet has deployed its mobile sports betting technology in New York with its long-term partner FanDuel, on the same day of which the newly-regulated market launched.
Mobile sports betting officially launched in the Empire State on January 8 after the New York State Gaming Commission approved FanDuel, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, and Rush Street Interactive as the first four of nine operators to begin operations.
The OpenBet team worked to make sure its betting technology met regulatory standards to allow FanDuel to be one of the first to market with players in New York.
Leo Perrotta, Vice President, OpenServices at OpenBet, commented: “We’re ecstatic that New Yorkers can finally enjoy legalized mobile sports betting, as well as grateful for the opportunity to work alongside FanDuel once again to deliver our market-leading technology.
“The huge potential that New York offers for the sports betting industry has been well-documented. Facilitating FanDuel’s launch on day one of the market opening was incredibly important to us and we’re excited to bring safe and responsible betting experiences to a wealth of players across the Empire State.”
Following the addition of New York, OpenBet and FanDuel are now partners across 13 US states, including Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
