FanDuel confirms two new sportsbook launches in Louisiana and Maryland

FanDuel Group, Boyd Gaming and Delta Downs Racetrack Casino & Hotel in Vinton, Louisiana have confirmed that the opening of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Delta Downs will take place this week on Thursday, pending regulatory approvals. 

The launch will feature a special ribbon cutting ceremony with Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy White, who will place a ceremonial first bet at the new sportsbook at 3 pm.

Sports fans from Louisiana and neighboring states will be able to place bets at the newly designed 2,000 square foot retail location that features three live betting windows, 30 self-service betting terminals, 22 video displays and seating for more than 40 customers.

While on Friday, FanDuel Group, The Cordish Companies and Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland will officially launch legal sports betting in Maryland. The grand opening of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Sports and Social Maryland is subject to regulatory approvals.  

This opening will also host a special ribbon cutting ceremony, this time featuring Pro Football Hall of Famer Ed Reed, who will place the ceremonial first bet at the new sportsbook at 9:30 am. 

The 14,000 square foot sports lounge features a 100-foot-wide media screen as its centerpiece for some of the best sports watching in the region. Sports & Social Maryland also has two main bars, luxury viewing chairs, and VIP areas surrounded by the largest casino in the state of Maryland.  

The FanDuel Sportsbook will feature five betting windows, one VIP window and 26 self-service betting kiosks.
