DraftKings Inc and Golden Nugget Casino Lake Charles have jointly announced the launch of a new retail sportsbook at Golden Nugget Casino Lake Charles in Louisiana, pending licensure and regulatory approvals.
The sportsbook is scheduled to open on November 10 at 2pm, allowing Louisiana sports fans age 21 and over to place bets on a variety of betting markets across professional, collegiate, and other sports leagues.
DraftKings will be launching its online sportsbook in the Bayou State at a later date, pending the aforementioned approvals. Once live, sports bettors will be able to place bets online and via their mobile devices on the DraftKings Sportsbook app in permitted parishes.

The DraftKings sportsbook will be the largest in Lake Charles and is located inside a portion of the Blue Martini bar. It will have six ticket cages where customers can place bets, as well as 30 self-service kiosks spread throughout the casino.
Plans are underway for a permanent, 10,000 square-foot, DraftKings Sportsbook and lounge with nearly 300 seats, odds boards, and big-screen televisions throughout the space. The permanent location is expected to open in the Summer of 2022.

Earlier this month, DraftKings published its Q3 2021 financial results, declaring a 60% revenue improvement year-over-year and continued user growth and engagement.
