FanDuel has announced the appointment of Sarah Butterfass as its new Chief Product Officer.

She will be leading the company’s product development organization, reporting to FanDuel Group CEO Matt King, effective October 19.

King said on the appointment: “Product innovation and enhancing the customer experience is at the heart of everything we do at FanDuel Group. Sarah’s deep digital experience, passion for building high performing teams, and delivering world-class customer experiences will be incredibly valuable as we lead our industry forward.”

Butterfass previously served as the Chief Product Officer at Groupon, the online marketplace company where she oversaw global product organization in developing the future of the Groupon experience for consumers and businesses across all channels. She also led the vertical strategy for Groupon categories including Things to Do, Live, Travel, Food & Drink, Beauty & Wellness, and Groupon’s Bookable marketplace.

Prior to joining Groupon in 2018, Butterfass served as Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Experience at E*Trade, an electronic trading platform. In this role, she led product teams for all of E*Trade, including, mobile, advanced trading platforms, and all product verticals, including Trading, Investing, and Stock Plan Participants.
