FanDuel and MTN DEW, an official partner of the NBA, have announced the launch this week of the MTN DEW NBA Free Play Contest Series. The series comprises 17 contests throughout the NBA Playoffs, awarding prizes and experiences to fans. The first contest is live on FanDuel, and the series will run until September 4, 2020.
Described by FanDuel as the ultimate second-screen experience, the MTN DEW NBA Free Play Contest Series gives sports fans the opportunity to win unique prizes, including a seat at a virtual event with NBA legends, merchandise, NBA Store credit and FanDuel vouchers.
“After partnering with MTN DEW for NBA All-Star Weekend this past February, we’re incredibly excited they’re our first NBA sponsor back as we celebrate the return of sports,” said Alyssa Zeleznik, FanDuel’s VP of Advertising & Sponsorship Sales.
“We are two brands that share the belief that sports fans deserve once-in-a-lifetime experiences. While we can’t send fans to the NBA Finals, we want to recognize basketball’s return by offering fans the chance to win unique prizes during the playoffs.”

During the contests, both organisations will also provide users who play in the series “King of the Mountain” a 3-Point bonus. In true King of the Mountain fashion, whoever has the lineup with the most 3-pointers each night will be crowned “king” but can be knocked off at any point by the next highest scorers. The lineup with the most 3-pointers at the end of the 17-night contest will be crowned winner and split the bonus pool of $15,000.
