The on-demand delivery company Rappi has unveiled its new betting product in Colombia, Rappi Apuestas. Users aged 18 years or older will be able to access the platform that features operators authorized by Colombian regulatory body Coljuegos.

The new platform is available on iOS, and soon will be followed by its web version and Android, with operators like BetPlay, Rivalo, Rushbet, BetJuego and MegaApuesta. In order to bet, players only need to download the app, choose a bookmaker and then pick a game category.

This new product will be linked to RappiPay, the electronic payment facilitator that aims to provide greater security through the use of a QR code tool. According to La República, this agreement between Rappi, Toplay and Coljuegos aims to generate greater financial contributions to the Colombian health system and fight against illegality.

Matías Laks, general manager of Rappi in Colombia, said that the firm is seeking to contribute to the digitization of authorized games of chance in the country.

“With Rappi Apuestas we will have the possibility of connecting thousands of users in the country with authorized bookmakers in the country so they can play in a transparent and safe way, as part of an industry that is growing rapidly in the region,” he said.

Alvaro José Mosquera, country manager of Rivalo in Colombia, added: “With this new channel, operators not only provide a friendly and familiar user experience, but we also find an ally for the growth of the industry, connecting with current and potential users, in one place.”

“These types of alliances and integrations promote innovation and technology as tools to connect businesses with their audience in digital ecosystems like Rappi.”
