The American Gaming Association is scheduled to take its national Get to Know Gaming campaign to Maryland next week at MGM National Harbor. It will host a panel with regional gaming representatives, area community leaders and elected officials, and responsible gaming experts in a wide-ranging discussion on how the state’s gaming operators support responsible gaming and local communities.

The discussion will highlight the release of AGA’s Casino and Communities: Maryland research report, a look at how state gaming operators invest in their communities and provide opportunities for economic development across the state.

The event also kicks off Responsible Gaming Education Week which runs from September 15 to 21, and will feature Maryland leaders offering perspectives on programming and resources to address and promote responsible gaming in the state.

The panel discussion will feature input from Rushern Baker, Former Prince George’s County Executive; The Honorable Anthony Brown, Member of Congress (MD-04); Mary Drexler, Program Director, MD Center of Excellence on Problem Gaming; Melonie Johnson, President and COO, MGM National Harbor; Bill Miller, President and CEO, American Gaming Association; William Parker, Owner, The Parker K-9 Group; and Carla Truitt, Owner, Be Clean Cleaning Services, Inc.
