José Carlos Figueroa, former Deputy Gaming Director for the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), has been appointed by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) as its Caribbean Government Relations and Business Development Representative.

In the new role, Figueroa will maintain the relationships with GLI’s regulatory and gaming supplier clients and will grow the firm’s business in the region. His areas of expertise include gaming policy and regulatory development, gaming technology compliance and audit processes and licensing as well as international government relations.

Figueroa majored in Accounting at the University of Puerto Rico, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He also holds certifications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in financial background investigation techniques, slot analysis and sports betting.
