June 1 has been earmarked as the launch date for Circa Sports, a new sportsbook that will be located at Las VegasGolden Gate Casino. Designed by the Moser Architecture Studio, the new facility is the latest project to be undertaken by Golden Gate owner Derek Stevens and will feature 18 screens and an LED board to display odds. On launch day there will be two betting kiosks in operation.

Approval for the sportsbook was granted by the Nevada Gaming Commission last week and sets the scene for an opening date that comes in time for the start of the 2019 NFL season. The aim, according to Stevens, is to host the biggest screen in sportsbook history once the development is fully completed by next year.

In a press statement, Stevens noted: “It’s no secret that I’m an avid sports bettor – I’m taking everything I’ve learned and everything I love and bringing it all to Circa Sports to create the best possible experience for our guests. Circa Sports will take people back to old-school Las Vegas hospitality, where our guests and oddsmakers interact closely in a friendly and fun environment.”

Circa sportsbook director Matthew Metcalfe told press: “There is truly no casino operator who understands sports betting quite like Derek Stevens. Together, we’re creating a one-of-a-kind fan experience that can be enjoyed by bettors of all types. We plan to make placing bets easier than ever for advanced bettors, while ushering in a new wave of novice players who are seeking the advice of experts to help guide the way.”
