Multinational Spanish gaming operator Codere has been appointed by the NBA as its first official games partner in Mexico. The partnership will be promoted in retail stores across Mexico, on the website platform of Codere and the NBA, including NBA.com, the NBA app, and social media platforms for NBA Mexico.

Angel Fernandez, Director of Marketing at Codere, explained: “Our association with the NBA reinforces our values and leadership position with confidence and clean games. Respect for the rules of the game is a part of our DNA and our association with the more competitive global league is an example of this. Together, we are happy to offer our customers the best experiences and to add more emotion to the game.”

He added: “Codere is one of the largest sports games operators in Mexico, and our new association offers more ways that our passionate fans can connect with one another, and experience their emotion for the game”

As part of the deal, Codere will become an associated partner of the NBA Mexico City Games 2018 that saw Orlando Magic playing ‘regular season games’ against the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz this week in the City Arena of Mexico.

“This marks the third consecutive season that the NBA has offered two regular season games in Mexico City,” said Fernandez. “And it will be the 27th and 28th in our country, the most quantity of matches carried out by the NBA between the US and Canada. Codere will use the official news of the NBA and the brand in their digital sports betting offers and in physical premises in all of Mexico. Codere and the NBA also have come together in major practices to protect the integrity of the games of the NBA.”
