Oddslife has promoted Alexandru Teodorescu to the role of managing director as the sports fan engagement platform extends the scope of its prediction games to cover the US market.

Teodorescu will be representing Oddslife at next week’s G2E in Las Vegas (8-11 October) in his new role to explain how the tech company’s range of products have been tailored to suit operators in newly regulated, regulated and unregulated states across America.

After three years in the role of chief product officer, Teodorescu has been tasked with overall responsibility for driving the growth of Oddslife, which specialises in developing free-to-play (FTP) prediction games and content platforms to support the customer acquisition and retention goals of sportsbook operators, media companies, right holders and other sports-affiliated organisations.

This strategy has become increasingly prevalent in America, where sports betting operators are looking to acquire and engage customers, both in states where online betting has already come into force and those where regulation is expected to kick in soon.

It is also attractive to existing operators looking to offer their customers a more gamified approach to sports betting in order to improve retention and player LTVs.

“I can’t wait to get out to Vegas and spread the word about Oddslife,” said Teodorescu, who will be overseeing sales, marketing and product development in his new role. “It is an extremely exciting time for me to take on the extra level of responsibility, particularly given the circumstances in the US, where Oddslife can offer the right set of tools to help operators get a head start in the land grab to acquire customers.”

He concluded: “Whether it’s operators in the process of getting a license, which can be a time-consuming process, or operators establishing an early presence in states that are expected  to regulate later, FTP prediction games from Oddslife are very well suited for building up a customer base in advance of opening a real money operation.”

Group CEO Rasmus Sojmark commented: “No-one knows the Oddslife platform better than Alexandru and now is the time to roll out its extensive capabilities. The fact that it is flexible across all types of regulation makes it a perfect platform for the US as more and more states look to embrace the sports betting opportunity offered to them since the repeal of PASPA.”

The trip to Vegas will cap an exciting few months for Teodorescu, during which time Oddslife successfully teamed up with leading Belgian operator betFIRST to launch a “Last Man Standing” prediction game for the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
