White label igaming software and services provider Nektan is continuing to grow its activities in the US. In its latest financial results the firm stated, inter alia, that an August launch is ‘progressing’, with installations in three land-based casinos.
Nektan’s US operating subsidiary, Respin, supplies US land-based casinos with in-venue mobile gaming solutions which enable operators to add mobile technology and content to their existing offerings, with products accessible to players across both cabinets and mobile devices on site. Respin has a strong intellectual property portfolio including game patents for Rapid Games™ (on-property mobile entertainment), and other concepts and brands.
Continued growth in the US and Europe has helped push Nektan’s revenues to £8.8m for the final six months of 2017, up from £5.73m in the corresponding period the prior year. Adjusted losses in the managed gaming division, meanwhile, were down to £918k, from £1.498m in the same six-month period in 2016.
Elsewhere in the financials, Nektan’s overall pre-tax loss was reported as £4.17m compared to the previous year’s profit of £1.19m. The firm raised £1.76m through a new shares subscription in December 2017 and now has over 100 casino brands live from 52 partners, including new European-focused partnerships.
Gary Shaw, interim chief executive officer, said: “The European business continues to deliver strong trading momentum. We are developing our mobile first casino product, diversifying our portfolio of services to include additional B2B gaming solutions in Europe, US and now Asia.”
