FanDuel is maintaining its relationship with Europe’s premier men’s basketball league.
The Flutter-owned brand announced on Monday a multiyear contract extension with EuroLeague Basketball. The broadcast deal allows FanDuel to continue airing EuroLeague games in the U.S. through 2028. FanDuel is airing the competition’s games through its free, ad-backed channel FanDuel TV Extra and its OTT platform FanDuel TV+.
FanDuel TV Extra is available on streaming platforms, including Pluto TV, Tubi and Roku.
“We are extremely satisfied to renew this agreement, as FanDuel is a key partner in expanding our global footprint and delivering the rich tradition of European basketball to U.S. audiences,” said EuroLeague Marketing and Communication Chief Officer Alex Ferrer Kristjansson. “After a successful first season, FanDuel’s expanded coverage clearly shows the growing interest EuroLeague is generating among American fans.”
FanDuel and EuroLeague Basketball first teamed up in October 2024, securing a deal for the 2024-25 season. The two entities are now planning to offer basketball fans the opportunity to watch more than 100 games each season. FanDuel also secured rights to broadcast the league’s play-in tournament, playoffs and final four matchup. FanDuel’s airing of EuroLeague competition will also include league newcomer Dubai Basketball.
EuroLeague Basketball is comprised of 20 teams, expanding from 18 last season. The league will also benefit from the inclusion of Hapoel Tel Aviv, which won the EuroCup.
“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with EuroLeague, which showcases some of the highest-caliber basketball in the world,” said FanDuel TV SVP Michael Shiffman. “Bringing this premium content to our fans aligns perfectly with our mission.”
FanDuel ehances basketball offerings
The online casino and sports betting operator is continuing to expand its reach through its partnership with EuroLeague basketball after landing a multiyear deal with Amazon last month. The partnership makes FanDuel the official odds provider for the NBA and WNBA.
An optional product integration does not offer the ability to place bets via Prime Video but provides live odds displays of active wagers on screen during livestreams of games.
FanDuel believes the integration will appeal to both new and existing customers.
