Rush Street Interactive (RSI) and Sightline Payments have unveiled a joint project that makes BetRivers the first iGaming operator to white-label the payments firm’s Sightline Debit solution.

BetRivers Debit aims to deliver secure, seamless and convenient access to player account balances, allowing BetRivers customers instant access to their available wagering balance at any time and place and via all available payment methods. The companies said in a release that the solution eliminates the need for users to repeatedly withdraw and redeposit, and will help RSI reduce friction and high payment costs that accompany it.

RSI partnered with Sightline to design and launch the new offering, which Sightline said offers a first-of-its-kind functionality that sets a new standard for user experience in the gaming industry.

Introduced first in New York, BetRivers Debit also adds extra protections for patrons, such as Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insurance coverage, advanced fraud security features and tools that support responsible gaming by promoting financial transparency and sustainable play.

RSI CEO Richard Schwartz said that the launch of what the partners are calling online gaming’s first integrated debit payments solution marks a major step forward in BetRivers improving its UX.

“We’re proud that our team helped shape this innovative payment solution in close collaboration with Sightline, further underscoring RSI’s leadership in delivering cutting-edge technologies that elevate the player experience,” Schwartz added. “Our collaboration with Sightline Debit demonstrates our commitment to integrity, innovation and delivering exceptional player experiences. Being first-to-market with revolutionary new technologies benefits the entire RSI operation – from our team to our players to our investors.”

Sightline and RSI intend to roll out the solution beyond New York and in the operator’s additional U.S. jurisdictions in the coming months. BetRivers is licensed and operational as an online casino and/or sportsbook in 14 other states, as well as in Canada’s regulated iGaming province of Ontario and in Latin America in Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

Sightline’s solution, BetRivers’ branding

Sightline works with more than 70 gaming partners across at least 44 states.

It teamed up with financial infrastructure provider Cross River Bank earlier in 2025 to create the Sightline Debit solution upon which BetRivers’ version is based. The idea behind the offering is to provide a frictionless, customer-centric experience that streamlines both spending and wagering.

It works by authorizing transactions through a demand deposit account (DDA) at Cross River, insured by FDIC. Customers get a VISA debit card issued by Cross River to use for deposits and withdrawals through the DDA.

Cross River said in August that if the solution was widely adopted across the gaming industry, Sightline Debit could reduce churn of money by 40% and save the online gaming industry approximately $700 million a year.

“The cost of payments in digital gaming is staggeringly high, on average 4.5x higher than that of other industries,” Sightline Payments Co-Founder and CEO Omer Sattar said. “Over nearly three years and 200,000+ hours worked, in deep collaboration with seven of the largest gaming operators in America, we painstakingly took the payment ecosystem apart and reassembled it, creating an entirely new, bespoke ecosystem where payments in gaming now is cheaper for operators and easier, safer, and more responsible for patrons.”

“Rush Street Interactive is an industry leader that strives to be first-to-market with innovations,” Sattar added.”That’s why it makes so much sense for us to launch our revolutionary integrated payments solution, Sightline Debit, with BetRivers.”
