DraftKings is bolstering its roster of talent through a deal with a veteran sports analyst.

Trey Wingo has joined DraftKings Network as the host of Pregame PowerUp, a new fall program that will air every Monday and Thursday before NFL primetime games. The program will also include other sports and entertainment personalities who will discuss sports betting trends, data, fantasy football, and NFL Next Gen Stats.

“I am excited to join DraftKings’ talented lineup and to talk football with this highly engaged audience of NFL fans,” said Wingo. “DraftKings has impressed me with their unwavering commitment to enhance the fan experience, it’s a perfect platform for Pregame PowerUp.”

In addition to Wingo, the hour-long program will also feature appearances from media personalities Claudia Bellofatto, Emerson Lotzia and former NFL offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse. Pregame PowerUp adds to an existing lineup of football-focused programs on DraftKings Network that also includes The Handoff: NFL and The Handoff: College Football. DraftKings Network has a fall programming schedule that also features GoJo and Golic and the Ross Tucker Football Podcast.

DraftKings hires Wingo from rival

Wingo is joining DraftKings Network after working for rival Caesars Sportsbook.

In 2021, the former ESPN host landed a deal with Caesars to become the operator’s Chief Trends Officer and Brand Ambassador. The pact also saw Wingo develop and deliver original content and analysis through Caesars’ various media channels.

Since the end of Wingo’s and Caesars’ partnership, the sports analyst has launched an alternate sports history podcast on Amazon’s premium podcast studio Wondery.

The podcast, Alternate Routes, is co-hosted by former ESPN host Kevin Frazier.
