916 Gaming is expanding its reach with a new launch backed by the Virginia Lottery.
The gamified iCasino and iLottery games builder has announced the launch of iLottery title, “Team USA,” in partnership with EQL Games. Team USA is exclusively available to Virginians through the state’s lottery, which posted $4.6 billion in total sales in 2023.
916 Gaming and the Virginia Lottery have teamed to release the game ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics, which opens competition on July 26 with its closing ceremony on Aug. 11.
“The opportunity to offer games that align with the start of the Olympics and Paralympics only happens every two years, and the Lottery saw this as a great chance to engage with fans,” said Virginia Lottery Director of Marketing Scott Kenyon. “EQL and 916 Gaming have created fantastic games that our players can enjoy as they cheer on Team USA athletes.”
The iLottery game offers players the ability to compete in several Olympic competitions, including archery, gymnastics, and track and field with up to $300,000 in prizes available.
EQL Games’ partnership with 916 Gaming builds on a previous deal in Virginia. Earlier this year, the iLottery provider landed a pact with Pariplay to launch instant games.
Pariplay and EQL Games have been working since 2023 to deliver gaming titles.
