DraftKings has announced that retail sports betting will now be available at its Wrigley Field venue.
Illinois baseball fans will be able to place bets at the DraftKings Sportsbook at one of 32 betting kiosks or seven over-the-counter betting windows. Markets on offer will include same-game parlays and in-game betting.
This latest development is set within the DraftKings retail location which is situated adjacent to Wrigley Field at the corner of Addison and Sheffield. The 17,000 square foot facility includes 2,000 square feet of screens which can show up to 25 sports games at once as well as a scrolling ticker displaying odds.
“The reception has been great since opening the DraftKings Sportsbook at Wrigley Field last summer as a state-of-the art restaurant and bar, and we are excited to take our flagship venue to the next level with retail sports betting operations,” DraftKings Vice President of Product Operations Michael Kibort. “Today’s celebration wouldn’t have been possible without the support from the Chicago Cubs, Levy and the Illinois Gaming Board. Together, we’re able to deliver customers a safe and regulated way to get in on the action while enjoying an incredible space to watch live sports.”
To celebrate the occasion, former Chicago Bears player Kyle Long placed a ceremonial $100 bet on the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series. Levy, the sportsbook’s food and beverage provider, also served $1 Chicago hot dogs.
DraftKings unveils responsible gambling measure
Last week DraftKings launched My Stat Sheet, a tool to help promote responsible gambling which will allow players to “assess, track and interact with their personal stats” through a series of charts and filtering options.
Users will be able to view data points such as deposits and withdrawals, wagers placed and win/loss records across a number of different time periods.
