Intralot has confirmed the appointment of both Richard Bateson and Konstantinos Farris to its Board Of Directors and C-suite level of executives.

Bateson joins the lottery and gaming technology firm as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) upon fulfillment of all related legal requirements, whilst Farris is the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective immediately.

The new CCO boasts over 20 years of lottery and gaming industry experience, working for Camelot in both the UK and North America

He has also acted as a consultant to several companies, including Jumbo Interactive, Teneo and the aforementioned Camelot.

Coming in to work with senior management to improve Intralot’s position in the US and wider North American gaming markets, Bateson brings ‘extensive knowledge’ of American and European gaming.

“As an industry leader, Richard has worked as both an operator and vendor within the lottery sector,” the group said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Farris joins as CTO and replaces Fotis Konstantellos, who has stepped down from his other roles as a Member of the Board and Deputy CEO.

The Board of Directors of Intralot was elected by the General Shareholders Assembly on 29 June, 2021, with a six-year tenure.

Intralot has increasingly focused on the US lottery and sports betting industry in recent times, and recently appointed Nikolaos Nikolakopoulos to be CEO of its Intralot Inc US subsidiary.
