Mike Tyson is the latest American athlete to endorse an online gambling company, but don’t expect to see him popping up in US commercials any time soon. Instead, Tyson will serve as a new spokesperson for BRBET, a Brazilian online gambling and sports betting brand.

BR Bet is licensed out of Curaçao and recently signed a sponsorship deal with the Sampaio Corrêa soccer team.
Tyson is a globally recognized boxer but also a polarizing figure. His illustrious career as a fighter is marred by in-ring incidents like biting the ear of fellow fighter Evander Holyfield. He is also a convicted rapist. However, he remains a major presence in pop culture thanks to appearances in movies like The Hangover and a successful one-man show on Broadway.
Earlier this year, a video surfaced of Tyson assaulting another passenger on a Jet Blue flight. However, no charges were ever filed related to the incident.
