The Mohegan Sun FanDuel sportsbook will host a Grand Opening celebration on March 5, featuring celebrities including Michael Buffer, Larry Holmes, Max “Big Country” Lane and Dan Koppen as well as stand-out NFL wide receiver Chris Hogan.
Celebrating the official launch of the Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook in Casino of the Earth, Buffer will MC a champagne toast alongside Mohegan Sun and FanDuel officials before a full drink and dining menu and a high stakes Race Book section opens.
At the party, which is open to the public, guests will be able to place wagers on the biggest games that night, as well as enter competitions to win prizes like a signed Derek Jeter baseball and a signed Aaron Rodgers football.
The new sportsbook, which has created 120 jobs in the local area, marks one of the largest FanDuel sportsbooks in the US, standing at 11,000 square feet and featuring luxury seating for over 200 patrons, a 140-foot HD video wall, six cashier windows and 39 easy-to-use betting kiosks.
Upon opening, the sportsbook will be available 24/7 for sports betting activities on all major sports such as NCAA Basketball, NBA, MLB, MMA, Boxing, NHL amongst others.
Furthermore, the sportsbook is rolling out a full food and beverage menu, featuring Philly cheesesteaks, pizza, tacos, wings, nachos and a variety of specialty burgers.
Guests over the age of 21 are invited to attend the celebration and enter the competition to win the exclusive prizes that will be given away every 20 minutes.
