Scientific Games has been selected by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe to deploy its full OpenSports platform solution at the Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona, to power its first-ever sportsbook, SolSports.

Casino Del Sol visitors will be able to place wagers on sporting events thanks to its on-site retail sportsbook, and at self-service sports betting kiosks located throughout the casino and at its sister property, Casino of the Sun.

Both casinos will gain access to Scientific Games’ full sports betting offering combining the performance of the OpenBet engine with the versatility of OpenTrade, the full risk and liability management service powered by Don Best Sports. Players will be able to place wagers on a variety of sports betting markets offered by OpenSports.

Kimberly Van Amburg, CEO of Casino Del Sol, commented: “In launching our first sportsbook, we partnered with Scientific Games due to their technical expertise.

“The OpenSports solution is a robust and scalable platform that can withstand all the pressures associated with major sporting events while providing customers with an extensive range of markets. We are confident our guests will enjoy the new SolSports sportsbook and we can’t wait to go live later this year.”

The partnership is Scientific Games’ first market entry into Arizona, following the legalization of sports betting in the state in April 2021.

Cathryn Lai, SVP & GM US, Digital at Scientific Games, added: “Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun have both worked tirelessly to become leading casinos in Arizona and we are sure this new partnership can go from strength to strength in the newly regulated state.

“We believe Arizona’s sports betting market will grow rapidly in size and we look forward to providing customers with a first-class offering.”
