SBC continues its investment into the North American and Latin American sports betting and igaming markets with the recruitment of Cristian Robalino for the role of Vice President Marketing – Americas.
Robalino brings over 15 years of experience in marketing, having worked across a magnitude of different B2B and B2C events as Marketing Director at Reed Exhibitions and most recently CloserStill Media.
Reporting into SBC’s Founder and CEO, Rasmus Sojmark, Robalino will oversee the marketing and strategy for SBC’s Americas portfolio, which includes the ground-breaking trade exhibition and conference SBC Summit North America (incorporating Betting on Sports America & US iGaming Conference), consumer sport betting show BETFEST, new LatAm trade conference SBC Summit Latinoamérica, the Vegas Baby industry networking event and party, and the digital conferences SBC Digital North America and SBC Digital Latinoamérica.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the SBC family in such rapidly expanding markets,” said Robalino. “I look forward to making a significant impact that will continue to position SBC as the leading sports betting and igaming events in the Americas and around the globe.”
Robalino joins a star-studded lineup in the SBC Americas team consisting of industry heavyweight Sue Schneider, VP Growth and Strategy – Americas and recently recruited trade show veteran Bob McFarland, VP Sales and Commercial – Americas.
Sojmark commented: “We are delighted to welcome Cristian to the team. North America and Latin America are key expanding markets for SBC and our continued recruitment of top-level talent will allow us to reach new audiences, increase business for our customers, and elevate the industry as a whole.”
The first event under Robalino’s belt will be SBC Digital North America taking place online on June 9-10. The content will focus on the key topics driving the industries forward, including the future of sports betting, how to benefit from the growth of igaming, state-by-state regulation, M&A activity, next-generation technology, and marketing strategies that deliver cost-effective player acquisition.
“With indoor gathering restrictions being lifted across states such as New Jersey, it will allow us to safely reunite the industry later this year and bring back in-person networking and business opportunities in key markets that the industry is yearning for,” Robalino added.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy recently announced the plans to end indoor gathering restrictions on June 4, which will allow full capacity at indoor events. SBC Summit North America will take place at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey on November 30 – December 2, 2021.
