DraftKings has debuted its mobile and online sportsbook in Iowa, allowing anyone inside state lines aged 21 and over to place bets on their favorite teams and sporting events after in-person registration at any of the state’s three Wild Rose casinos.
State law requires bettors to finalize their DraftKings mobile and online sports betting registration in-person at a Wild Rose-DraftKings sportsbook in Clinton, Emmetsburg or Jefferson. After registering in-person, customers can bet via the Sportsbook mobile app and online site from anywhere in the state.
After January 1, 2021, accessing mobile sports betting in Iowa will become significantly more convenient as customers will no longer be required to register in-person.

Another important distinction in Iowa is that sportsbooks are not permitted to accept player proposition wagers involving a university or college in Iowa. This regulation also extends to the opponents in games with Iowa schools. Pre-match and in-game wagering on Iowa schools and their opponents is permitted.
