Almost two years since every American state was granted the power to create its own sports gambling laws, US online gambling has moved at breakneck speed. That’s the view of Eskil Kvarnström, CEO of lead generation company Leadstar and sportsbook comparison website United Gamblers.

So far, nine states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia have launched regulated online sports betting. A further six including Michigan, Colorado, and Tennessee are set to launch in 2020 as the US online industry goes from strength to strength.

Well placed to capitalize on the emerging US market, Leadstar Media and United Gamblers is a project catering for US players seeking the latest legal gambling news concerning their state and the best legal sports betting sites to sign up with. It is the latest in a line of launches during a busy two years for the Stockholm start-up.

Having launched its sports betting comparison service and respective brands in Sweden, Norway, the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, and the USA, Leadstar now has a presence in over 12 markets.

On adding United Gamblers to the company’s ever-growing portfolio, Kvarnström shared his thoughts on the huge potential of the project.

“The US is as exciting as it gets right now. As we’ve seen in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, people are really enjoying betting on sports online,” he said. “As demand for legal sports betting grows in other states, it’s our aim for United Gamblers to become the go-to online destination for all levels of player looking for a safe and enjoyable online gambling experience.”

While US gambling is beginning to take shape, it is a market still maturing. Not everyone has legal sports betting available in their state and for a lot of Americans, online gambling and online sports betting, in particular, have been viewed, largely, as an illegal pastime.

Breaking down those barriers and making players aware that safe and legal options now exist is a primary aim of United Gamblers. Likewise, bridging the gap between gambling operators and budding new players who require knowledge on whether a site is, first, available in their state and, second, trustworthy.

Gaining the trust of users is nothing new for Leadstar, though. As with other projects across the world, United Gamblers follows the same model based on providing unbiased reviews of the online gambling options available.

In the US, this includes both domestic and international operators such as Daily Fantasy Sports duo, FanDuel and DraftKings, who dominate the legal landscape in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Indiana. PointsBet, Unibet, Wiliam Hill and 888 Sport are also available in selected states and ranked and reviewed on United Gamblers.

In addition, users of the site can find useful advice on a range of subjects including deposit/withdrawal methods, creating an account and sports betting apps. The homepage features a map of the US that provides a clear overview of the legal gambling situation of each state, updated as and when a new state becomes legal.
