The figures show that January 2019 was the best month to date for the sector. Overall it generated $33.59m in online poker and casino revenues, achieving yet another record-breaking revenue month. Thanks to a further $15.5m in online sports betting revenue, NJ operators generated a new benchmark total of $49.09m in total online gross gaming revenue.

In terms of pecking order Golden Nugget Online Casino Group, which includes SugarHouse Casino and BetFair Casino, remains in front by a hefty margin on casino revenue with another record earning month at $12.18m. Resorts Digital Gaming, home to Resortscasino.com, MoheganSunCasino.com, PokerStars, and FanDuel took second spot with total online revenues of $6.44m.

BonusSeeker.com Managing Editor, Rich Migliorisi offered an industry observer view, saying: “If the market continues to head in this direction, the total online gaming revenues for 2019 will be between $600-$700m, which is beyond most people’s expectations for the first year of sports betting. These strong results will most likely increase the pace of other states’ race to regulation.”
