IGT has confirmed that its PlayShot integrated sports betting solution has successfully completed the final stage of Nevada regulatory approval – a mandatory field trial for the solution’s on-property sports betting module. With this milestone said the firm, the sports betting solution is fully approved for deployment throughout the state. Mobile sports betting on the platform received regulatory approval in a field trial completed in 2017.

It added that throughout the field trial, the solution powered over-the-counter betting services at 10 major Las Vegas Strip casinos and proved to be a stable, efficient and user-friendly business tool. The recent trial also included the testing of the company’s proprietary MarkSense Technology, a solution that enables operators to design and print parlay sheets and promotions on demand.

“Gaining full regulatory approval in Nevada for IGT’s integrated PlayShot sports betting solution enables our customers throughout the State to benefit from its seamless integration of retail and mobile betting technologies in a single solution,” said Enrico Drago, senior vice president PlayDigital. “Our customers throughout the US recognize the power of the PlayShot technology, and view the hub-and-spoke design of the scalable platform as an important advantage for pursuing sports betting business opportunities in multiple states.”
