Scientific Games Corporation has announced the launch and distribution of virtual sports alongside the Pennsylvania Lottery, at retailers across the Keystone State.

Branded by the lottery and going under the ‘Xpress Sports’ moniker, its initial offering sees Xpress Car Racing and Xpress Football content provided by Inspired Entertainment Inc, as confirmed by the virtual sports content provider in its Q3 financial update.

Integrated via Scientific Games’ central lottery and sports betting platform, point-of-sale terminals and TV monitors at Pennsylvania Lottery retailers, both parties detail that the new offering officially went live on August 14.

Xpress Sports can be accessed at any Pennsylvania Lottery retailer, with players able to watch drawing results in real-time on monitors at nearly 1,500 locations, with more on the way.

“Our recent game entertainment expansion with Keno, iLottery and now virtual sports is already generating new funds to benefit older Pennsylvanians. Kudos to all those at the Lottery and Scientific Games who have worked so hard to introduce these new products to our players.

It’s virtual sports offering, along with Keno, is to be displayed at a mixture of retail venues, bars and taverns, depicting the outcome of random computerised drawings that take place every five minutes.

Xpress Car Racing features a total of twelve race-cars, with players able to wager between $1 and $20 on the order of the front three at the finish.

Xpress Football gives the opportunity to select to wager on a number of elements, such as touchdown run on first through fifth play, touchdown pass on first through fifth play, turnovers or field goal.

Elements of the game can change every draw, including teams, home or away, starting line for the drive, defence and offence strength, with wagers ranging from $1 – $20 per drive.
