Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has signed a Casino Operating and Services Agreement (COSA) with Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited (Gateway) for the Central Gaming Bundle.

The Central Gaming Bundle is the seventh bundle to transition to a service provider in Ontario. It is the latest step in OLG’s land-based gaming modernisation, with the aim of creating the conditions for a vibrant gaming industry in the province and bringing jobs and investment to communities across Ontario.

Gateway now assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operations and assets of OLG slots at Georgian Downs and Casino Rama Resort. It will have the opportunity to build a new gaming and entertainment facility in Wasaga Beach or Collingwood, subject to all necessary provincial and municipal approvals.

OLG has an internationally-recognised Responsible Gambling (RG) program and embeds its high standards for RG into the contracts it has with service providers. It also provides the provincial government with its largest source of non-tax revenue. Modernisation, it said, helps provide yet more money to Ontario for key government services.
