Digital casino solutions providers NetEnt has signed a customer agreement with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, for the provision online games to New Jersey’s regulated online casino market.

Hard Rock International is to offer online casino gaming alongside their new land-based casino offering within the US state, with NetEnt, working through its subsidiary NetEnt Americas LLC, stating that it “continues to strengthen its presence in the regulated online casino market in New Jersey.”

Kresimir Spajic, SVP of Online Gaming at Hard Rock International, commented: “We are delighted to partner with NetEnt, known for its innovative and forward-thinking gaming solutions. NetEnt’s market-leading game titles and digital casino expertise will help us drive online casino growth with our own iconic Hard Rock brand.”

Björn Krantz, Chief Commercial Officer of NetEnt, added: “I am thrilled about the prospects of working together with Hard Rock to offer our award-winning games to their online casino players in New Jersey. Hard Rock has a strong global brand and I look forward to supporting them to grow their new online casino business.”

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City is scheduled to open its doors for the first time this summer, after undergoing an “all-encompassing $375 million renovation” at its former Trump Taj Mahal site.

Set to encompass a “range of gaming opportunities” with 2,400 slots and 130 table games, the project also details the creation of 1,000 jobs during construction and 3,000 permanent thereafter.

Hard Rock is also aiming to “become the premier entertainment destination with live music, sporting events, conferences and shows,” through two separate 7,000 seater arenas.

Speaking a short time after the completion of the transaction Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International, stated: “From world-renowned music events to innovative dining concepts, we’re excited to bring the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino experience to the Atlantic City boardwalk – which has been home to our Hard Rock Cafe for more than 20 years.

“Our commitment to Atlantic City has never been stronger and we look forward to being a catalyst for further growth and development of the area.”
